ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Having grown up in the South West, I can't help but be inspired by this bracing and wild coastline of Cornwall.
It’s the sea that I’ve always been drawn to. I can trace this back to my earliest memories of holidays in deepest West Cornwall, surfing at Sennen and Gwenver. We stayed in an old granite and wooden cottage on the side of the Cot Valley in St Just, looking out to the Celtic Sea and Atlantic beyond.
There’s still nothing that makes me feel more alive and humble than my time in and on the water. Whether experiencing her power whilst surfing a storm swell, windsurfing a force 9 gale, or snorkelling a deserted cove in the summer. It’s these visceral emotions and memories that stay with me and are the inspirations for my paintings.

I’ve been fortunate to attend four art colleges in the South West, including Plymouth, Falmouth, Bristol and contemporary landscape painting at The Newlyn School of Art. I love fusing this eclectic mix of influences in my work, from graphics to street art as well as the more traditional techniques.
If I’m not painting ‘plein air’ at a beach or on the coastal path, you’ll find me at my home which is also my studio. I live in St Germans, an historic countryside village in the Tamar Valley, which backs onto the River Lynher. This neck-of-the-woods is known as the ‘forgotten corner of Cornwall’. It’s so peaceful and unspoilt here.
I hope you enjoy my work. Feel free to drop me an email or give me a call if you have any questions or are interested in a commission.
